About us

Greenside Vet Clinic (as it was previously known) was established in 1943 by the late Dr. Jack Boswell, making it one of the oldest private veterinary practices in South Africa. Dr. Ceril Claus came to work here in 1955 and practiced for 40 years until Dr. Viljoen purchased the practice in 1995. Dr. Viljoen transformed the practice into a fully fledged animal hospital and worked here until 2002 when his veterinary career was ended as a result of a motorcycle accident. Dr. Suzette Greubel joined the practice in 2002 and currently works here with Dr. Karin Lourens. We focus on the treatment and care of dogs, cats, birds and pocket pets.

We have positioned ourselves as a premium practice with a view to providing first world veterinary medicine, products and services to our clients. To this end our aim is to:
- meet the needs of pet owners in the demographic area that we serve
- set a standard for excellence in the Veterinary profession
- enhance the quality of life of the animals we treat and look after and strengthen the bond between pets and their owners
- innovate and create new and better ways of treating and preventing disease.
